Star Wars games had undergone a significant stumble with Battlefront 2, so EA Games needed to find a hit with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order—and the title delivered. Now fans are waiting for the sequel, and we may have just gotten an update on when we’ll get the official reveal.
According to GamesBeat’s Jeff Grub (via GamingBolt), we will get the update in May, sometime during the Star Wars Celebration.
We do not know precisely what the game holds, but seeing as the first was buggy upon release, hopefully, we get something that is a bit more polished, with more options for gameplay.
When Fallen Order first came out in 2019, there was a lot of talk going around for its Soulslike gameplay in that the game provides a challenge for players and does not reward any careless enemy engagement.
While I am sure we should expect the same for the sequel, I hope we get to play around with the crew of the Mantis more. Star Wars as a brand has always been more of Uncharted rather than Dark Souls, so even if the gameplay is challenging, it would be great if we could get variations on levels. What if we could play as Merrin or have her be a companion during missions? I wouldn’t mind flying the ship for some dogfighting from time to time.
No release date has been set for the Fallen Order sequel, but fingers crossed, May will come. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now playable for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
