Pre-Order Trailer for Street Fighter 6 Showcases New and Returning Fighters

With The Game Awards dropping some big reveals, we now have a release date for Street Fighter 6, and the pre-order trailer gives us a look at returning character Dee Jay, as well as a handful of new fighters in the game: JP, Marisa, and Manon.  Watch this:

Your Moment. Your Fight. Street Fighter 6 hits the streets on June 2, 2023! Watch the trailer featuring more glimpses of World Tour like minigames and Master Assists. Get your first look at gameplay for Dee Jay, Manon, Marisa, and JP.

Dee Jay has been a character in SF since Street Fighter II in the 90s, but he’s mostly been in the background when it comes to the latter games. As for Manon, it seems like the game wants to play on the ‘idol’ culture with the character; and since we have no reveal for Zangief yet, I have a feeling that Marisa is going to be filling in that wrestler-sized hole in the game.

As for JP, he seems like your classic anime villain, and  I have a feeling his powers are somehow connected to Street Fighter’s longtime baddie M. Bison. We don’t have a look at him yet, but I’m sure JP could very well fill in that role.

Street Fighter 6 launches for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2, 2023.
