Capcom has been pretty sparing when it comes to the character reveals for Street Fighter 6, and while we’ve seen some new characters joining the fray, the latest trailer gives us a look at some returning faces including Dhalsim, Ken, Blanka, and E. Honda.

So far, it looks like the characters still have their familiar skillsets, but there have been some changes when it comes to their animation. I’m also a big fan of how Dhalsim has evolved over the years and his ‘guru’ look feels like a great design choice for the character.

Besides returning characters, SF6 is also changing things up by allowing players to create their own characters and even learn moves from other fighters in-game. Here’s the official description:

Get your first detailed look at World Tour in Street Fighter 6. Fully customize your avatar with robust options and equip the right gear for your playstyle. Hit the streets with Luke as your guide and learn from the Masters during your adventure. Bring that avatar into the Battle Hub to play online matches, partake in tournaments, or play classic Capcom games.

Besides the World Tour, Street Fighter 6 also allows you a new party mode called Extreme Battle where players can set up parameters and silly rules during matches. While there are some that take the fighting game genre seriously, this mode is sure to be enjoyed by those who just like to have casual fighting game fun.

Street Fighter 6 is expected to launch sometime in 2023.
