With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Cal Kestis being modelled after a real actor, a lot of fans were wondering if Cameron Monaghan would ever make his live-action debut in the Star Wars universe.
Talking to Screen Rant, Monaghan was asked whether Cal had any chance of appearing in the live-action movies or shows on Disney+, to which he replied, “Well, of course there’s interest. That’s about all I can say.”
We don’t know when Cal would eventually make his live-action debut, but we can imagine that he shows up around the time of the Original Trilogy, maybe in Obi-Wan Kenobi or The Mandalorian. If you ask me, there’s probably room for Cal to make a guest appearance in the upcoming Andor series. Heck, they should bring in the entire crew of the Ghost.
In the meantime, Cal is set to take the spotlight with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We don’t know the story yet, but we could see Cal facing off against a one-armed Sith. While we can expect another showdown with Darth Vader, I think Vader’s fate kind of removes any excitement for him in the story. It’s best we focus on characters that we haven’t met at all, with some guest appearances here and there.
STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™ picks up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he continues to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is aiming to release sometime in 2023.
