Take an In-Depth Look at the Gotham Knights Skill Tree

Thanks to IGN, we have a closer look at the game’s skill tree and how each character is given a set of unique traits in their journey to become the next Dark Knight of Gotham. Watch this:

Here’s how Gotham Knights skill trees work. Each of Gotham Knights’ heroes comes with multiple skill trees to fill. In our latest IGN First drop, we explain how of the Gotham Knights characters skill trees work – and why they’re as much a story mechanic as a game mechanic. Get a look at some of the Gotham Knights characters abilities and learn more about how the system works.

What’s great is, the game is very specific about being a multi-protaginist game, so even if you advance with only one hero, you won’t have a need to upgrade all the other heroes if you suddenly want to try someone new later in the game.

Each hero has specific specialties when it comes to their playstyle. Batgirl specializes in melee combat and survivability; Robin is great with stealth and tech; Nightwing is good at acrobatics and co-op abilities; and Red Hood is all about marksmanship and brawling.

The game looks absolutely massive, and WB Montreal has built an entirely different Gotham with each borough having its own identity and history. We know that there’s a lot of pressure to live up to the Arkham games, but hopefully Gotham Knights has its work cut out for it.

Catch Gotham Knights when it launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on Oct. 25.
