So far Tekken 8 has been revealing classic returning characters including Nina, Jin, Kazuya, Paul, and King, but the latest character reveal gives us a popular character that was introduced in Tekken 6.
Check out the gameplay for Lars Alexandersson:
It’s time to set aside old grudges for the greater good.
Lars springs into action in #TEKKEN8!
While the main conflict with Tekken has always been between Jin and Kazuya, Lars is actually the illegitimate son of Heihachi Mishima, making him Kazuya’s half-brother. I guess that’s why they have him taking on Kazuya in his gameplay reveal.
I guess it’s also worth noting that we also have Lars taking on the new version of Jack from the game. With the roster slowly opening up, we should get more and more frequent reveals until Bandai would be ready to give us a release date—which is hopefully later in the year.
Here’s the official overview for Tekken 8:
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Tekken 8 pushes the envelope for fighting games and takes full advantage of the power of the latest generation of consoles by creating one of the most visually stunning and immersive titles in the genre yet. Tekken 8 picks up after the gruesome battle that ended in Heihachi Mishima’s defeat, focusing on a new rivalry pitting father against son as Jin Kazama stands in defiance against Kazuya Mishima’s quest for world dominance.
Tekken 8 is yet to receive a release date.
