With a focus on such a specific character, many Lord of the Rings fans weren’t expecting the Gollum game from Daedalic Entertainment to be huge. What’s interesting is the campaign could end up pretty lengthy.
Talking to GamingBolt, LOTR: Gollum producer Harald Riegler has revealed that the game could take 20 hours to complete at a ‘relaxed’ pace. They explain:
“A relaxed playthrough of the game with exploration of the beautifully crafted environments and listening to dialogues will take around 20 hours… Avid adventure players will be able to finish the game faster but we advise everyone to take their time and breathe the air of Middle-earth.”
Though many fans love the characters in the LOTR mythos, the locations and settings are just as important, and we should expect the game to have its original interpretations of what Tolkien’s world looks like.
With the Amazon series currently working on its second season, Gollum should keep Middle-earth fans content while they wait for the next wave of LOTR material that’s set to come out. Did you know there was an animated War of the Rohirrim movie in the works?
