How to Play Breach on Lotus in Valorant

Initiator Agents are well equipped to drive away enemies from key positions around maps, giving their teammates the space to take or defend space when playing the Attacking or Defending side. While most Initiator Agents such as Sova, Skye, Fade, and KAYO achieve this goal through recon abilities that spot and tag enemies, Breach employs a more forward and forceful method.

Breach excels in maps that have smaller bomb sites or those that are filled with tight corners and cubbies, such as Lotus. Lotus’ relatively small and tight bombsites allow him to use his kit to its full ability to drive or punish enemies out of key areas.

With the right setups and strategy on Lotus, you can easily dominate both the Defending or Attacking sides with Breach. This guide will review some strategies you can employ when using Breach on Lotus.

Breach Shines on Lotus in Valorant

Breach is arguably one of the most annoying Agents to deal with in VALORANT. Experienced Breach players can easily clear out a huge chunk of space around bombsites with Breach’s signature ability, Fault Line, and force away enemies lurking around cubbies with Aftershock.

Breach also has one of the fastest and most annoying flashes in the game with Flashpoint, which he can use to drive away enemies on Attack or deter the incoming Attacking team on Defense. And since Lotus has three smaller-than-usual bombsites, Breach can easily clear these out with his ultimate ability, Rolling Thunder.

How to play Breach on Lotus in Valorant

Breach can play both the Attacking and Defending sides well on Lotus. Knowing when, where, and how to use his abilities on Lotus will ensure your team gets the upper hand regardless of which bombsite you’re playing on the map.

A-site Attacking

A-Main is the most important area on Lotus because of the breakable door at A-Link. The Defending team will want to control this area as much as they can, or they risk giving the Attacking team a flanking toward the B-site.

Start by pushing away Defenders holding A-site Entrance and A-Stairs. You can do this by placing a Flashpoint on the wall at A-Link. This will Flash any Defender holding A-site Entrance, A-Stairs, and outside A-Link. From there, your team can smoke off A-Stairs and either make your way to the B-site or commit to your A-site push through the A-site Entrance and the Rotating Door.

Use Faultline as necessary to drive away enemies from cubbies and corners within A-site or A-Tree or support your team with another Flashpoint toward A-site to secure your A-site take. You can save Aftershock for post-plant if you wish.

A-site Defending

When playing Breach on Defense on A-site Lotus, your goal is to deter the Attacking team from rushing past A-Root/A-Rubble. You can easily do this by using Aftershock at A-Root to keep the Attackers from pushing out of A-Main and following up with Faultline directed toward A-Main.

If you’re confident enough, you can even punish the Attackers by following up with Flashpoint and pushing A-Main to take down as many stunned/flashed Attackers as possible.

Playing more defensively within A-site can work, too, but remember that you’ll be giving up A-Link and A-Rotating Door.

B-site Attacking

B-site is a piece of cake to attack using Breach. Lead with Flashpoint to force the Defenders to turn away from B-Main Entrance. After this, follow up with a faultline from the close right corner of the B-Main Entrance toward the B-Top.

2 26

If your team didn’t bother taking A-Link, you could use your Aftershock to force Defenders into A-Link while your team makes its way to B-site.

Rolling Thunder will also cover the entire B-site, so don’t hesitate to go to B-site whenever you have your Ultimate up.

B-site Defending

Attacking and Defending B-site as Breach is equally effective on Lotus. When Defending, you can use your Aftershock to deter the incoming Attackers from rushing through B-Main. You can even play aggressively if you want to by using Flashpoint toward B-Main and then following up with Faultline.

Unlike A-site, playing more defensively within B-site is a viable option as Breach since you can easily play retake with your teammates using your Flashpoint, Faultline, and Aftershock.

C-site Attacking

When Attacking the C-site, lead site entry with a Faultline that runs across the C-site Entrance to the C-Backsite. After which, follow up with an entry flash to punish any Defender still looking to hold the bombsite from inside.

You can also use Aftershock to clear out the C-Backsite or the C-Waterfall area, or you can just save the ability and use it for post-plant Defense.

Like B-site, Rolling Thunder can easily cover most of C-site, making it one of two bombsites you can easily clear out whenever your Ultimate is up.

C-site Defending

C-site is also a great place to play when using Breach on Lotus. From C-site, you can easily provide backup to your teammates playing B-site since you can use Flashpoint and Faultline on the rotating door, flashing and stunning incoming Attackers at B-Main.

You can also play aggressively from C-Main by using Flashpoint to blind enemies pushing toward C-Mount. And if the enemies continue to push toward C-site, you can easily punish them with your Aftershock and Fault Line.

Is Breach Good on Lotus in Valorant?

Breach is probably one of the best Agents to play on Lotus. He excels on both Attacking and Defending sides on the map and can play entry, post-plant, and site defense very well. Most of Lotus’ bombsites accentuate Breach’s abilities due to their relatively small size.

Players with a knack for setting up their teammates will love playing Breach on Lotus. You can’t go wrong with this Agent on Lotus, as his entire kit brings much value to both the Attacking and Defending side of the map.

Clearing Out!

Lotus is one of those maps where Breach can show off his mechanical biceps. His entire kit makes Attacking a breeze and Defending a nightmare for the enemy team on the triple bombsite map.

Knowing how to use his abilities is one thing, but knowing when and where to use them on Lotus is another. Through the quick guide outlined above, we hope we’ve given you a good idea of how you can maximize Breach’s abilities when playing both the Attacking and Defending sides on Lotus.
