Though the game may have missed its initial October launch date, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is going to be coming out late this week on December 2. Just in, we have a new cinematic launch trailer showcasing the hellscape that is brought upon the Marvel universe by Lilith the Mother of Demons.
Watch this:
Though we’ve gotten some extensive character deep-dives over the past few months, the launch trailer does confirm a lot of essential plot points in the story—like the fact that the Sanctum Sanctorum has been destroyed, and that’s what pushes Strange to establish a new headquarters in the form of The Abbey.
We also get a look at all the other kinds of demons that Lilith will bring to life, and some of the heroes that she’s corrupted in the game—like Hulk.
Admittedly, the story seems kind of corny, but I think the real hook with Midnight Suns is going to be the gameplay. With so many action games in the Marvel library, I’m sure there will be some fans who enjoy a strategic, semi-card game with Midnight Suns.
After centuries of sleep, Lilith, Mother of Demons, has been revived by Hydra through a twist of dark magic and science. Lilith is determined to bring back her evil master, Chthon, and when Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases, you’ll be the world’s best hope of stopping her. Fortunately, you won’t be alone. As the Hunter, a legendary demon slayer with a mysterious past, you’ll fight alongside the Midnight Suns – an unlikely group of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches for all major consoles on Dec. 2.
