The Horizon games may have Watch Gameplay for Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
brought us a new video game icon in Aloy, but Acme Gamestudio is ready to give us their redheaded protagonist Hilda in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars. A new gameplay trailer has been released for the game, and it reveals some huge monsters as well as some crazy spells at Hilda’s disposal.
Watch this:
Asterigos Curse of the Stars is an action RPG in which you play as Hilda, a young warrior of the Northwind Legion, who travels to the foreign City of Aphes to save her father.
While Aloy traverses a sci-fi world in the Horizon games, Hilda and her world are complete fantasy, and you can watch as she casts spells against some fantastical monsters. The creature design is actually pretty neat, and the more animated aesthetic could be preferred by fans who aren’t too big on the attempt to replicate actual humans in other games.
With Horizon also having an established system when it comes to customization and crafting, it looks like this game might be easier on that—then again, we’ll have to wait for a more extensive look at Asterigos. Personally, I consider these simpler games with no skill trees a nice break after all the AAA titles that have come out recently.
No specific release date has been announced for Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, but the game is set to be available this fall for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
