Watch How The Last of Us Part I was Rebuilt for the PS5

Just in, we have a new trailer showcasing how the game has been rebuilt for the PS5, and we get to watch the devs give us an in-depth look at the changes coming to the remaster. Watch this:

Naughty Dog brings its latest tech, lessons learned, and gameplay philosophy to create the definitive edition of an already groundbreaking game.

While remasters usually just mean a graphic update for the game, the team has been very specific about how this version of The Last of Us was completely remade from the ground-up with new character models for characters as well as enhanced levels that add more detail to each location.

What’s more, the remake also improves on the enemy AI, which promises that each enemy will act differently depending on how you approach each encounter. Hopefully this time around Ellie will be better at hiding from the enemies—or maybe the enemies will have a better chance at spotting her.

Re-experience the game that set a new bar for single-player narrative storytelling with The Last of Us™ and explore a ravaged and hardened world, where every action has a brutal consequence for Joel and Ellie.

Winner of over 200 Game of The Year Awards, completely rebuilt for the PlayStation®5 console.

The Last of Us Part I launches for the PS5 Sept. 2. A PC version is currently in development, but is yet to receive a release date.
