With the recent Resident Evil games switching to first-person, it was a hint for the fans that the franchise would be embracing VR gameplay. With the launch of the PS VR2 later this month, Capcom has dropped a new look at the VR Mode for Resident Evil Village.
Check this out:
The VR Mode is set to launch on the same day as the PS VR2, and fans can also try out the demo on the same day. The DLC will also be available for free for anyone who already owns the game.
While we should expect the main game to be the same, the VR version has some more tweaks specifically made to tailor to the game in VR. You can see that the assembly menu is completely different with VR, and there are new systems in place for immersive gameplay besides shooting at zombies and all kinds of creatures.
Though it’s the same game, I’m sure fans of Village will find something completely new to enjoy with the VR version.
Here’s the official description for RE Village:
Experience survival horror like never before in the eighth major installment in the storied Resident Evil franchise – Resident Evil Village.
Set a few years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.
VR Mode launches for Resident Evil Village on Feb. 22, the same day the PS VR2 launches.
