Studio Trigger had brought a franchise back to life with their Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series. Now, the studio has teamed up with Odyssey Interactive for a short animated intro for their game Omega Strikers.

Here’s the official description of the game:
Smash opponents off the arena and score goals in this lightning-fast 3v3 footbrawler. Sling slimes, toss tofu, and rocket boost to victory as one of 15+ stylish Strikers.
Like any game that isn’t story-heavy, the characters for Omega Strikers look pretty neat, and Trigger gave them a lot of personality and style when they applied their own animation to the characters.
I won’t mind if someone adds some lore to this fantasy air hockey game. Maybe we could be looking at the next Arcane with these characters, and it could be great if they brought Trigger back to animate the whole thing.
The game was originally set to launch in September last year, but multiple delays have opted for the release this April. That being said, it looks like Omega Strikers has a straightforward premise, and I can imagine many kids wanting to play the game since it’s free-to-play, after all.
Omega Strikers launches on April 27 for Nintendo Switch, PC, Android, and iOS.
