Nintendo Switch players may be excited for the release of Nintendo Switch Sports this month, but let’s not forget which franchise is Nintendo’s bread and butter. Just in, we have a new overview trailer for Mario Strikers: Battle League.

Here is the official description:

Introducing Strike, a 5-on-5, soccer-like sport with no rules—do whatever it takes to win! Get gritty and score the most goals by tackling enemies, using items, and pulling off score-boosting Hyper Strikes. Take the carnage online or pass the ball to players locally—lookout for the electric fence.

The game will start with ten playable characters, each with their special abilities. While Mario is considered the most well-balanced among the bunch, characters like Bowser and Donkey Kong are good on strength, and Peach is renowned for her speed on the field.

Even with the established stats, you can still get access to gear that will alter your stats depending on what needs improvement—whether your scoring ability or precision when handling the ball.

With Nintendo known to have more for their colorful characters, we should probably expect more faces to make it to the game in the future. For now, though, you can expect to have fun with up to 8 players with the launch version of Mario Strikers: Battle League.

Mario Strikers: Battle League launches for the Nintendo Switch on June 10. Pre-orders are now open for the game.
