After the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a lot of fans are excited for the return of Cal Kestis and his adventures.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to come out next year, and thanks to the Game Awards, we have a new trailer showing off a lot of the gameplay as well as the some new characters and plot details. Watch this:
Though the first game had Cal going against the Empire and its Sith Inquistors, the sequel looks to be bringing us a whole new villain, who some suspect was a fallen Jedi from the High Republic era. We don’t know much about this character yet, but it seems that they’ve hired some mercenaries to make things a tad harder for Cal.
We also see the return of some Clone Wars-era battle droids. No details have been released as to why Cal runs into them, but resurrected droids have been a story that the expanded universe has played on before.
So far, the game looks to be expanding Cal’s arsenal, even giving him a crossguard saber. We don’t know what else is in store for him, but I would love if we got more of Nightsister Merrin who is absent from the trailer.
Here’s the official description for the game:
No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in – with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to come out on March 17, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
