With every new console generation comes a remaster from the previous generation of a highly beloved game, and that’s what we’ll be getting with Life is Strange: Remastered Collection. The remaster is set to come out next week, and we have a new trailer highlighting the improvements when it comes to the cutscenes.
This collection actually includes two games, Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered.
Besides updated graphics for the game, there have been a lot of upgrades when it comes to overall quality of the visuals. Animations of the characters have been improved thanks to full facial mo-cap performances, and there have also been engine and lighting upgrades to bring the series into the new-gen. Puzzles from the game have also been updated and refined.
For a game that came out in 2015, Life is Strange has been genre-defining when it comes to narrative-driven gameplay. Until we get the next thing from Deck Nine, this remaster is a great entry point into the world of Life is Strange.
Return to Arcadia Bay and experience two award-winning Life is Strange games like never before! Remastered visuals and animation breathe new life into the great cast of characters and gripping stories.
Though the game has been delayed for the Nintendo Switch, you can catch Life is Strange: Remastered Collection for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4|PS5, and PC on Feb. 1.
