With updates on the game being so scarce, a lot of fans thought that Hogwarts Legacy could be pushed back another year. With the game making headlines recently, WB has come out to clarify that the game is indeed going to be making its 2022 planned release.

2022 is also the year when the highly anticipated console game from Warner Bros. Games’ Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy, is set to be released. Developed by Avalanche Software, this action RPG allows players to be at the centre of their own adventure set during the late 1800s wizarding world. From learning powerful spells and brewing potions, to honing combat skills and taming magical beasts, this game will allow players to experience the magical world as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before as they determine the fate of the entire wizarding world.
Despite the confirmation, we still have no specific release date announced; nor do we have a date when we can finally have an update. A rumor had come out that we could be getting a major reveal at Sony’s State of Play 2022, but so far, nothing official has been confirmed. I guess fans will just have to wait till Jan. 24 to see if any of the rumors were true.
The Potter films may be over, but WB is continuing to delve into the cash cow that is J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. Not too many fans were keen on the Fantastic Beasts story, but maybe they’ll want to tell their own once they get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy.
As of now, no specific release date has been set for Hogwarts Legacy, but the game is expected to be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4|PS5, and PC sometime this year.
