Though each new mainline Street Fighter game is expected to introduce new characters, there are some series regulars that we should always expect to be part of the roster. Just in, we have a reveal for SF classics Zangief and Cammy, as well as new incoming character Lily.

Make way for the return of fan favorites Zangief and Cammy in Street Fighter 6 along with the exuberant newcomer Lily. The bear, bird, and bee round out the diverse 18-character launch roster when Street Fighter 6 launches on June 2, 2023!
When it comes to Zangief and Cammy, it looks like they both have the same kind of moves that have always been consistent with their kits. Zangief has always been more of a wrestler/grappler when it comes to his abilities, and Cammy has a lot of her acrobatic moves. That one special she does where she breaks an enemy’s legs though is something lifted right out of the animated Street Fighter movie.
The curious new character is Lily who looks to be influenced by Native American culture. She wields two ball-headed clubs, and seems to have some kind of connection to spirits. What’s odd is, the character seems to be played for laughs, what with her moves including a stun when she takes photos of her opponent, and a special which ends with her falling on her target by accident.
The roster is slowly getting fleshed out, and we should get more reveals soon.
Street Fighter 6 launches for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2, 2023.
