One of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Shoda Sah Shrine or the Impeccable Timing. This shrine requires Link to “shoot” the glowing orb to their glowing orb sockets, which requires, you guessed it, impeccable timing. This shrine may seem a little intimidating or frustrating even, but this shrine is relatively easy to complete. In this guide, you will learn how to complete the Shoda Sah Shrine, get the chest, and claim the Spirit Orb.

Link will be rewarded with Spirit Orbs for completing Shrines. The Spirit Orbs obtained can be exchanged for more Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels. As there are 120 Shrines all over Hyrule, Link can get 120 Spirit Orbs. You get to decide whether you want Link to have more Hearts or more Stamina.

The Shoda Sah Shrine can be found behind Riola Falls, just north of Floria Falls and Floria Bridge near the Lakeside Stable (the shrine is northeast of Faron Tower or southwest of Mount Floria). The Shoda Sah Shrine is one of eight shrines in the Faron Tower region.

Upon reaching the bottom of Riola Falls, there is a pathway to the shrine on the right side of the falls.

Upon entering the Shoda Sah Shrine, you will see five glowing orbs just in front of Link. On the right side of the five glowing orbs are a switch and a platform that is angled so that when the switch is hit, the platform will rise quickly like a launcher. The glowing orb socket moves side to side across the water and is ahead of this launcher.

On the left side of the five glowing orbs is another set of launchers and switch, then just ahead of it is its glowing orb socket. This glowing orb socket is stationary, but above this glowing orb socket, two square blocks are moving up and down repeatedly and in an alternating fashion. Lastly, just ahead of the five glowing orbs is a path to the monk and the altar, but the gate to the altar is still closed.

To complete this shrine, this is what Link must do:

  1. Let Link pick up one of the glowing orbs and place it on top of the launcher on the left side of the shrine. On the launcher, place the glowing orb so that it is on either the left or right side of the launcher (never in the middle).
  2. Next, press the directional button, select the Stasis Rune ability, press the L to aim, and wait for the square block to be up (left or right square block depending on where you put the glowing orb. Select the left square block if you put the glowing orb on the left side on top of the launcher. If you put the glowing orb on the right side of the launcher, select the correct square block).
  3. Press the A button to activate the Stasis Rune ability once it is up and quickly strike the switch before the Stasis timer runs out to activate the launcher and throw the glowing orb towards the glowing orb socket. Activating the Stasis Rune ability on the square block will give you enough time for the glowing orb to be “thrown” towards the glowing orb socket without the square block blocking it.
  4. After that glowing orb is in its socket, a chest will be launched towards Link’s platform. Open the chest to obtain a Small Key.
  5. Before opening the gate to the altar, pick up another one of the glowing orbs and place it on top of the launcher on the right side of the shrine.
  6. Link has to time the launcher right for this glowing orb puzzle. Make sure to hit the switch to activate the launcher while the glowing orb socket moves towards the center and not when it is already in the center. This may take a couple of tries. Suppose this is still too hard for you, however.
  7. If you run out of glowing orbs, you might have to restart the shrine by going out and then entering it again. In that case, you can also activate the Stasis Rune ability on the moving glowing orb socket while it is in the center and use the launcher to throw the glowing orb towards it. At the same time, it is stationary before the Stasis timer runs out.
  8. After successfully “throwing” the glowing orb towards its glowing orb socket, another chest will be launched back towards the platform that Link is on. Open the chest to obtain five Ice Arrows.
  9. Next, continue on the path ahead of the glowing orbs originally were and open the gate using the Small Key obtained earlier.
  10. Finally, go to the altar, talk to the monk, and claim your Spirit Orb!

The Shoda Sah Shrine or the Impeccable Timing is one of eight shrines in the Faron Tower region. The other shrines are the Muwo Jeem Shrine or A Modest Test of Strength, the Qukah Nata Shrine or Qukah Nata’s Blessing, the Shai Utoh Shrine or the Halt the Tilt, the Tawa Jinn Shrine or Tawa Jinn’s Blessing, the Yah Rin Shrine or A Weighty Decision, the Kah Yah Shrine or the Quick Thinking, and the Korgu Chideh Shrine or Korgu Chideh’s Blessing.
