Rocket Arena is going to go down as one of 2020’s best sleeper hits. The game was developed by Final Strike Games, and published by EA on July 14th, and had a niche of players hooked immediately.

Is Rocket Arena Available on Nintendo Switch?

The stylization of the game, and the whimsical third person shooting gameplay lead players to conclude that Rocket Arena would be right at home on Nintendo Switch.

Can you play Rocket Arena on Nintendo Switch?

Like so many great games, there is no plans for a Rocket Arena port to the Switch.

In an interview given by Executive Producer Mike Kerr, he claims that the company is “totally focused on PC, Origin, and Steam release, as well as PS4 and Xbox.”

That being said, he doesn’t out and out state that there isn’t going to be a Switch port, just that there are no plans for it.

In the same interview, Kerr, when asked about a next-gen edition of the game, stated “I think those conversations will definitely happen. Obviously, we would love to expose the game to as many people as we can.”

Is There any Games Like Rocket Arena on Switch?

I hate to break it to you, but not really.

Rocket Arena’s 3v3, third-person gameplay is something that is incredibly unique in a genre that has otherwise become incredibly stale.

It comes as a bit of a surprise to me that there aren’t any similar recommendations, too, given the Switch’s overall library seems to cater to a game like Rocket Arena.

Regardless, all you Switch players dying to get your hands on the game are going to have to sit tight. If you’re lucky, you just might see a release sometime next year, a little bit after the launch of the next-gen home consoles.
