The reveals just keep on coming for Tekken 8, and another classic character has her gameplay trailer.
Check out the new moves on Ling Xiaoyu:
She’ll put you back in your place with a smile.
Xiaoyu flips the situation in #TEKKEN8!
Xiaoyu was introduced to the franchise way back in Tekken 3, and makes use of Chinese martial arts as her fighting style. The series had even brought in her grandfather Wang, and she is also known to be the owner of another fighter Panda.
Admittedly, Xiaoyu does feel like the Tekken franchise’s version of Chun-Li. She may not be the embodiment of Leg Day, but they have given Xiaoyu a kind of childish character that she hasn’t been able to shake off despite being in the franchise for decades. Either way, her character does add a little brevity between the blood feud going on with Kazuya and Jin.
Here’s the official overview for Tekken 8:
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Tekken 8 pushes the envelope for fighting games and takes full advantage of the power of the latest generation of consoles by creating one of the most visually stunning and immersive titles in the genre yet. Tekken 8 picks up after the gruesome battle that ended in Heihachi Mishima’s defeat, focusing on a new rivalry pitting father against son as Jin Kazama stands in defiance against Kazuya Mishima’s quest for world dominance.
Tekken 8 still has no release date, but fingers crossed it comes out to all major consoles this year.
