Where to Find Passwords in Alan Wake 2: Lake House

There are only five locked computers in the chapter, but it can be very easy to miss a password or an important piece of information if you aren’t observant. This section includes information on how to get the passwords for each password-locked computer in Alan Wake 2 Lake House DLC.

Password for Dr. Marmont’s Office (G Floor)

On the Ground Floor of the Lake House, you’ll find a locked door next to an elevator. To unlock it, you need to access the computer.

1. Check the note next to the computer and note the number 38.
2. The other note on the table mentioned the last two digits should change daily.
3. Across the room, approach the display with frames and photos next to an American Flag.
4. Examine the documents and take note of July 18.
5. Combine the clues from the notes, and you’ll get the computer password 180738.

Password for Holding & Observation Cell (Level -2)

The next computer is in the Holding & Observations Level -2 (Cell). After meeting Ed Brooker, you’ll find another computer next to him. Examine the computer to find the password on a sticky note: 123456.

Password for Control Center (Level -2)

Inside the Control Center in Holding & Observations on Level -2, you’ll find the Security Computer that will lift the Lockdown and grant you access to the elevator.

1. Examine the Computer. The mail mentions the password is the Anniversary Date.
2. Take note of the “Brown Shape with Horns.”
3. On the desk, examine the note. The anniversary was a week from this Friday.
4. The note was written on 9/14/23.
5. On the wall, just across the table, examine the calendar. The next Friday is 22.
6. Examine the Catalogue of Rudolf Lane next to the locker computer and find the entry “Brown Shape with Horns.” Note the number 25 in the ID section.
7. Combining all the clues, you’ll get the password: 092225

Password for Inventory Room (Level -1)

The computer password for the Inventory Room in Painting Production Level -1 can be found within the room itself. Like the one in the holding cell, a sticky note with the password is placed on the monitor. Since the room is dark, you’ll need to use your flashlight to read the code clearly. The password is 021219.

Password for Dr. Marmont’s Office (Level -4)

The final password-locked computer in Alan Wake 2: Lake House is located in the Research Archives on Level -4. Inside Dr. Marmont’s office, you’ll find an open computer on the desk. Like the previous ones, this computer has a sticky note attached to the monitor with the computer password written on it. The password is 685298.
