Mad Maggie enters the fray in the upcoming season of Apex Legends which launches next week.

Apex Legends Drops Launch Trailer for New Season: Defiance

Here’s the season description:

Mad Maggie might not be the hero the Legends want on their squad, but she might just be the villain they need. See if you can control the madness when Apex Legends: Defiance launches on February 8!

While the trailer doesn’t show us some gameplay for Maggie, we do get some teasers for her abilities. We’ll probably get a detailed list soon, but for now it looks like she can deploy flamethrowers to surfaces. We should also expect some drama when it comes to her old buddy Fuse. Maggie also comes with this ominous logline: “For all her crimes, Mad Maggie’s been condemned to fight to the death in the Games. But just who’s being punished here?”

Defiance also adds a new mode alongside Mad Maggie which is 9v9 Control Mode which will only be available for a limited time. The mode essentially has teams hold control points with infinite respawning.

What’s more, to celebrate the third Anniversary of Apex Legends, Respawn is also giving out weekly rewards—which include free playable characters—just for logging in!
