Apex Legends Mobile: Fade Abilities Guide

A few months before its official release, Apex Legends fans have wondered who the tenth Legend will be when Apex Legends Mobile finally comes out. With 21 other Legends to choose from, Respawn Entertainment could have chosen anyone.

Beta testers had access to nine familiar faces in the likes of Gibraltar, Octane, Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Wraith, to name a few, so nobody saw it coming – Respawn Entertainment threw in an all-new Legend into the mix – Fade.

Fade is the 10th member of the Apex Legends Mobile release roster. The “Phasing Punisher,” as they call him, comes equipped with a unique set of abilities that will allow him to work well in various situations.

Fade – The Phasing Punisher

Fade is like no Legend before him. His skill set can be used defensively or offensively, depending on the situation. Let’s take a quick look at his abilities:

Passive: Slipstream

Slipstream is Fade’s Passive Ability. After Fade goes into a slide, he is given a brief speed boost buff.

We can already see this ability working well for quick ambushes or getaways. As we mentioned previously, most of Fade’s abilities allow him to play aggressively or defensively when the situation calls for it.

Cooldown: 10 seconds

Tactical: Flashback

Using Flashback – Fade’s Tactical Ability – will send Fade to a previous location a few seconds back in time.

Flashback continues the duality that Fade brings into battle. Through Flashback, Fade can take dangerous engagements without too much risk, as he can “Flash Back” to a safer location when the situation becomes too spicy.

Cooldown: 20 seconds

Ultimate: Phase Chamber

Fade throws a beacon that deploys a small dome-shaped Phase Chamber. Enemies caught within the Phase Chamber will not be able to use weapons. In addition, their movement speeds will be affected as well. Phase Chamber affects both enemies and allies.

Fade’s Ultimate Ability, Phase Chamber, sends anyone caught within its area of effect into the Void. Again, we must emphasize the unique duality that Fade brings to the table in Apex Legends Mobile.

Offensively, Fade can use Phase Chamber to trap and slow enemies inside it. Since anyone caught within the Phase Chamber will not be able to attack, Fade can use his Ultimate Ability as a pseudo-kill hole, where Fade and his allies can wait for the enemies to come out of the chamber to gun them down.

Defensively, Fade can use Phase Chamber to give his team a chance to escape safely in tight situations.

This unorthodox mix of offensive and defensive capabilities separates Fade from the rest of the Apex Legends Mobile roster.

Cooldown: 90 seconds

Void Power

Apex Legends has never seen a Legend who can do both offense and defense equally well. Fade should suit a lot of players’ playstyle due to his versatility.

Respawn Entertainment shocked the Apex Legends fanbase with this exclusive release for Apex Legends Mobile. We’re excited to see whether Fade ever makes it to the PC and console versions of Apex Legends. Only time will tell.
