Time flies extremely fast when you’re having fun. It was only a few months ago when Apex Legends Mobile officially came out on iOS and Android, but it is now in its third season.
Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 will see the arrival of a classic Legend in Ash, the introduction of the Mobile-first melee weapon for Fade, a couple of new events, some map and ranked updates, and a new battle pass. We have outlined all the major updates you can expect in Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 in this guide.
Incisive Instigator – Ash
Fans of the PC and console versions of Apex Legends Mobile will be very familiar with Dr. Ashleigh Reid, also known as Ash.
Like every classic Legend that makes it to mobile, Ash arrives with pretty much the same abilities as her PC and console counterparts. Of course, the most exciting part about having classic Legends come to mobile is their Legend Perks.
It will be exciting to see how Ash and her Perks fit into the Apex Legends Mobile meta. Check out the leaked gameplay clip by Apex Mobile Leaks‘ Tweet above.
Fade Signature Weapon: Constellation
New for Season 3 is Fade’s melee weapon – Constellation. The signature weapon features 6 levels and 2 forms. Players can unlock the weapon through Signature Merits or Signature Tributes found in special events. In addition, players can upgrade the Constellation’s visual effects, textures, and other parameters.
Season 3 New Content
New Events
Three new Seasonal Events will be making their way into Apex Legends Mobile for Season 3.
- Second Shot Blitz – a fast-paced Battle Royale mode where players respawn automatically.
- Halloween Event – Halloween-themed designs and elements can be found in Kings Canyon and World’s Edge.
- Faction Missions – collect Seasonal Currency by completing missions for former mercenary group leaders.
Map Updates
Map rotations have been changed for Season 3. For this season, World’s Edge and Kings Canyon will actively rotate every hour for Normal and Ranked Battle Royale modes.
In addition, a new POI has been added to Kings Canyon – Coliseum. The Coliseum can be found floating above the Shattered Forest, which means players can only enter the area by skydiving or through ziplines.
True to the POI’s theme, the Coliseum will feature a control panel that initiates duels in the area. Players can fight one another in the Coliseum and collect loot depending on how many players they are able to beat.
New Battle Pass
Of course, the new season update will not be complete without a new battle pass to complement it. Season 3 welcomes the Champions Battle Pass that comes with exclusive Champions-themed cosmetics and other exciting in-game loot.
Players can expect various item rewards, multiple Limited Legend Skins, and Limited Weapon Skins. There’s also a season-exclusive Avatar Frame for Battle Pass Plus subscribers along with an instant 10-level boost in the Battle Pass.
Ranked Updates
Respawn Entertainment previously made Legend Perks usable in Ranked Battle Royale mode for a limited time. For Season 3, the devs have made the feature a permanent addition for the current season and beyond.
A controversial mechanic, Perks have the ability to completely change how potent or effective a Legend’s abilities are in-game. Perks are made available for all players in Apex Legends Mobile. However, players need to grind and unlock Legend perks, which means that players who can grind harder than others can potentially bring in more powerful versions of the same Legend in Battle Royale.
The devs promise to watch over all Legends and how their perks affect gameplay balance on all maps in Apex Legends Mobile. One thing is for sure – Legend Perks are here to stay.
Legend Balancing
Some Legends have been given balance changes for Season 3: Bloodhound, Caustic, Fade, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Mirage, Octane, and Loba. The changes range from general ability changes as well as Legend Perk balance changes.
To start things off, Bloodhound will be getting reduced cast animation time for his Tactical Ability and Ultimate Ability, which should make him feel more proactive and reactive, according to the devs.
Caustic will be getting a damage increase for his Nox Gas, while his Tactical Ability receives improved deployment times and is now destroyable. Caustic’s Ultimate Ability cooldown has been reduced significantly as well.
Fade is the third Legend to get general ability changes for Season 3. However, only his Tactical Ability will be affected, which will see its cooldown increase a bit.
