Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Increase Charisma

There are quite some interesting features and mechanics that were added in the newest Assassin’s Creed game – Valhalla. Some are very unique, but some changes have left players disappointed.

Without going into details, there were changes to some mechanics that were really sacred in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Nonetheless, among these changes they’ve added a completely new mechanic in the game.

Charisma in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Charisma is a completely new metric that they introduced in the newest title. The basic premise is that your dialogue options will increase as you get higher Charisma levels.

We don’t know to which extent these dialogue options that you can unlock, can change the outcome of the story. However, we speculate that this will surely make a bit of an impact on the whole narrative.

How to Increase Charisma?

To increase your Charisma level, you must participate in what the game regards as flying battles. These are very interesting, as they’re duels of punchlines and jokes.

There are a few locations for these interactions, and when you speak to a particular NPC, you can place a bet on who has the best punchlines.

The individual will say something, and for that you will have to respond a certain way. You will be given a few options as a response, and you must pick the most “powerful” or funniest one.

Now, these can be difficult, but you need to focus on which reply makes the most sense. Or make sure the response you pick directly addresses what has been said before that.

If you choose a response that makes no sense, or it isn’t as potent, then you will lose the flying duel. Once you do, your Charisma doesn’t decrease.

However, if you in fact win the duel, you will get a Charisma point and increase its level. There are quite a few places, and a few NPCs you can have a flying duel with, so be on the lookout for these.
