With Hogwarts Legacy coming out at the beginning of the month, Atomic Heart has some huge balls coming out a few weeks after. I guess the competition isn’t a mystery, and the new live-action trailer for AH has Jensen Ackles putting a young witch girl aside.

The video just has Ackles busting up a bunch of robots and other enemies we can find from the game, and he does so with some makeshift sci-fi weapons as well as some elemental abilities—pretty much what we’re expecting from the gameplay of Atomic Heart.

With Hogwarts Legacy still one of the most anticipated games of the year (with the sales numbers confirming it), Atomic Heart has some huge competition to go against when it releases in a few weeks. I guess they can boast that more people can check out their game when it launches, seeing that it will be available for old-gen consoles like the Xbox One and PS4.

One other thing that Atomic Heart has going for it is that they are also claiming to be the spiritual sequel to the hit franchise BioShock, and the gameplay and setting make it very clear to players that this will be a sci-fi elemental shooter set in a technologically advanced Soviet Union. I don’t know what themes will be part of the story, but I think we’re going to be looking at a harsh critique at communism—at least, that’s my guess.

Atomic Heart releases on Feb. 21 for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
