Become a Ghostbuster (and a Ghost!) in New Trailer for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed

Check this out:

Here is the official description:

As a Ghostbuster, join with other Ghostbusters to chase and trap ghosts in museums, prisons, hotels, and more, and capture the ghosts before they can thoroughly haunt the areas.

Or, as the Ghost, hide, sneak, surprise, scare, and of course, slime Ghostbusters and civilians until everything has gone entirely spooky. Use trickery, deception, and Ectoplasm to gain the upper hand and drive the Ghostbusters out.

While we have had games put us in the shoes of Ghostbusters before, this game will be unique in the sense that you can take control of the ghost. Besides going around and scaring civilians, you can possess random objects and make it harder for the ghostbusters to find you.

Here are 5 minutes of gameplay:

Being a massive fan of the 2009 game, I was bummed that this was not another narrative-driven adventure, but I guess I would have it rather than 2016’s reviewed Ghostbusters title. It is also great that they managed to bring in franchise vets like Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. Fingers crossed, we get a narrative-based game that features the characters from Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

No release date has been set for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, but it is set to be available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC sometime later this year.
