God of War Ragnarok has finally launched, and players are excited to continue the journey of the father/son duo of Kratos and Atreus.
While PlayStation has been pretty careful with the reveals, we do have one featurette that gives us a look at the new track from the game from artists Hozier and Bear McCreary. Watch the BTS of Blood Upon the Snow:
Though God of War has its main theme which pretty much sounds like it was chanted by ancient dwarves, Blood Upon the Snow gives lyrics to the new theme and even incorporates it into the song itself.
Personally, I would have preferred a deeper voice singing the song, seeing that Kratos himself is a pretty gruff character, but a lot of fans do love the new track from composer McCreary and Hozier.
Seeing that fans are still going through the game, not too many spoilers have leaked from Ragnarok yet. After the tight lid that Santa Monica Studios had on the game’s story, I’m hoping that everyone gets to enjoy the story without too much spoilers going around online.
Here’s the official game description:
Join Kratos and Atreus on a mythic journey for answers before Ragnarök arrives. Together, father and son must put everything on the line as they journey to each of the Nine Realms.
Throughout stunning mythological landscapes, they’ll face fearsome enemies – from Norse gods to wild beasts – as they prepare for the showdown of their lives.
Armed with his trusty weapons of war – including the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos – Kratos’ deadly skills will be tested like never before as he fights to protect his family. A host of new abilities for him and Atreus also await, leaving room for fluid, expressive and customizable combat in this epic and unflinching tale.
God of War Ragnarok is now available for PlayStation 4|5.
