The job system in Bravely Default 2 is the most distinct part of the game. You can think of jobs in this game as classes or sub-classes. Each job comes with its own active and passive abilities.
These active and passive abilities can be used without having the job equipped, only if the abilities unlocked. Many seem to be confused as to how many players manage to level up their jobs extremely fast.
There are many things you can do to improve how fast you get JP – job points, and what’s surprising is the fact that you can do it relatively early game.
How to Farm JP Early Game – Bravely Default 2
Granted, this method might be a bit difficult if you’re still at chapter one, but after that, i.e. the second or third chapter, you can start “abusing” this method.
The first job that you get in Bravely Default 2 is Freelancer, and this is arguably the most important jobs in this game, even though many discard it. Why this job is so important is because there are two abilities which will multiple your JP by a whopping x1.7.
So, the main thing that you need to do is level up the Freelancer job to level 12. After that, make sure that you select both JP Up and JP Up and Up, as main abilities for every character in your party.
After this, each time you finish up a fight or a boss, you will get a multiplied amount of JP. This is currently the best way to farm JP in Bravely Default 2.
If you aren’t aware of what both of these abilities do, they help with the following:
- JP Up – Your JP gets multiplied by 1.2.
- JP Up and Up – Multiplies JP by 1.5. Combined with JP Up, it caps at 1.7.
This is the main reason why the Freelancer job is so important in Bravely Default 2.
If you want to kickstart your jobs, then you can take down an easy rare boss, which will get you upwards of 200 job points to start with. Go to this location on the map:
Challenge the boss there, but make sure that you make a save before that. Players shouldn’t have much trouble beating this enemy, since it has 13 thousand health, and can be defeated with less than adequate gear!
