With CD Projekt Red’s announcement for the next Witcher game, many fans thought that this would be CDPR’s chance to sweep the failure of Cyberpunk 2077 under the rug, but it seems the studio is not finished with Night City just yet.

CD Projekt Red is not Done with Cyberpunk 2077 Just Yet

According to Cyberpunk’s Quest Director Pawel Sasko, CDPR still intends to add new content for the game. In a recent BTS look posted on Reddit (via The Gamer), Sasko explains, “We’re still improving the game because we are all aware there is work to be done… We’re very happy you guys liked 1.5, and that gives us more…incentive to work for you guys because you show your appreciation for it.

Sasko did not go into specifics of what is coming for the game, but he did follow it up with, “That’s as much as I can tell you. We are working on stuff for you. Like I’m literally daily reviewing quests, talking to people about stuff, so it is happening.”

Everyone remembers the hype that was building for Cyberpunk 2077 before it was released. With how much praise The Witcher III received, the hype was on for CDPR’s next game. The hype just continued to build after the game was delayed several more times, and by the time it came out in December 2020, fans were met with a buggy mess that could not be played correctly on previous-gen consoles. The complaints got so bad that PlayStation had to pull the game from the PS Store not shortly after the release.

Ever since the announcement of the latest patch, fans have been taking another look at Cyberpunk, and interest is again going up. When the next expansion drops, we should expect some ‘Cyberpunk saved’ consensus.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now playable for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
