Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete Big Buizel, Little Buizel Request (Request 4) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player in requests. One of these requests is Request 4, titled ‘Big Buizel, Little Buizel.’ This guide will learn how to complete the Big Buizel, Little Buizel request.

Big Buizel, Little Buizel

To unlock this request, the player must first complete The Basics of Crafting mission (the game’s third mission) and then talk to the guard at the south gate with a Buizel named Dorian. He will tell the player that he has not seen a bigger Buizel, so he will ask the player (as the player is supposedly a natural at this) to catch one for him to raise alongside his own Buizel.

To catch a Buizel, you can go to places in the overworld where Buizels are usually found, like along the river banks of Obsidian Fieldlands. They can also be found near Obsidian Falls and Oreburrow Tunnel.

As previously mentioned, you would need to catch a big Buizel for Dorian. To do this, you must give him a Buizel with a height of 2’8″ or larger. When catching Pokemon, there is no other way of knowing the specific height of the actual Pokemon except for checking the Pokemon’s summary after catching it. You can check your Pokemon’s summary by going to the Base Camp, talking to the Galaxy Member, selecting ‘I want to see my Pokemon’ on the prompt, selecting the Pokemon you want to check, then selecting Check Summary on the prompt. Or, if the Pokemon you want to check is with you, press the up directional button to go to your satchel, select the Pokemon you want to check, then select Check Summary on the prompt.

It is very tiring to go back to the Base Camp to check if you have a large enough Buizel. One trick to know the height of the Pokemon you catch is to check and open your Pokedex, scroll down until you see Buizel, and on the summary (the first tab), you can see the range of heights of the Buizels you have caught. If the max height is not 2’8″ or taller yet, then you have not caught a Buizel that big yet.

It is also worth noting that you can visually see how tall Pokemon is compared to others of the same species. This could help to complete Dorian’s Request by only catching the bigger Buizels then checking later if you caught one that is 2’8″ or larger.

However, if you are too tired to look for bigger Buizels or if you do not have time, you can catch an Alpha Buizel, which can be found near the blocked-off entrance of Oreburrow Tunnel near the Worn Bridge. This method, however, would require you to battle the Alpha Buizel. Fortunately, Buizel is weak against Grass and Electric-type Pokemon but be careful not to kill them accidentally.

Once you have a Buizel with the appropriate height, go back to Dorian at the south gate of Jubilife Village to give it to him. It is worth mentioning that you cannot get the Buizel back once you provide it to Dorian, so choose a Buizel that you do not want for yourself to give to Dorian. After giving Dorian, he will observe the differences between the small Buizel and the bigger Buizel. Then, he will reward you with five Oran Berries and one Exp. Candy S, for your efforts.
