Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player requests. One of these requests is Request 31, titled ‘Setting Up the Bogbound Camp.’ In this guide, you will learn how to complete the ‘Setting Up the Bogbound Camp’ request.
Setting Up the Bogbound Camp
To unlock this request, the player must first be able to travel to the Crimson Mirelands, which the player can do after receiving the “Arezu’s Predicament” mission (the game’s eight mission), where the player must quell the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy.
After that, you can now start this request! The player can do that by heading to the Crimson Mirelands and head to the Sludge Mound, which is southeast of the Mirelands Camp, and there you will find an older man in gray and white clothing named Maldon. Talk to him, and he will ask you for help in setting up a new Base Camp near the bogs. He would then refer you to one of the Construction Corps’ newest recruits named Odo. Maldon will point to the player where to go to find Odo. Then, just like that, the ‘Setting Up the Bogbound Camp’ was started!
Next, head to where Maldon was leading you, and there you will find Odo, a man in blue clothing, and three Stunky. Go near them, and Odo will say not to go near the three Stunky, and they are taking up the spot where he was going to set up the new Base Camp. He will then mention that he should look for someone to battle them, and then the player will offer help.
To complete the ‘Setting Up the Bogbound Camp’ request, the player must now defeat the three Stunky. Stunky is a Poison and Dark-type Pokemon which means that Ground-type moves are super effective against them. However, it is worth noting that Stunky is immune or does not take damage from Psychic-type moves. You can also catch one or all of the Stunky instead of only defeating them.
After defeating (or catching) all three Stunky, Odo will be amazed by the player’s battling skills and that the player beat all three Stunky without getting smelly. Then, after that, Odo will set up the new Base Camp! The player can now stop by at the Bogbound Camp to rest, heal Pokemon, access the inventory, purchase items, access the workbench to craft items, and talk to Professor Laventon to update the player’s Pokedex!
Now that you have completed the ‘Setting Up the Bogbound Camp’ request, you can try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ‘em all!
