Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Pokemon species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also request help from the player. One of these requests is Request 46, titled ‘Setting Up the Coastlands Camp.’ This guide will teach you to complete the ‘Setting Up the Coastlands Camp’ request.
Setting Up the Coastlands Camp
To unlock this request, the player must first unlock the Cobalt Coastlands area after receiving ‘The Lordless Island’ Mission, which is the tenth mission in the game where the player must quell a frenzied Hisuian Arcanine.
After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, head to the path on the west of Bather’s Lagoon, and there you will find a woman in a green kimono named Gully. Talk to Gully, and she will ask the player if they have seen a man from the Construction Corps named Yorrich. Then, she will ask for the player’s help to track him down. She will then tell the player that she will be waiting further ahead and that the player can go to her if they have time. Then, just like that, the ‘Setting Up the Coastlands Camp‘ request has started!
After that, head to Sand’s Reach, which is in the southeastern part of Cobalt Coastlands, and there you will find Gully again. Talk to Gully, and she will tell the player that she needs help finding Yorrich of the Construction Corps as they were about to set up a new Base Camp in the area, but Yorrich went off on his own to get the lay of the land, but he is yet to come back. She will then ask the player to tell Yorrich to come back already if the player finds him.
Now it is time to find Yorrich! Yorrich can be found in the pinky part of Sand’s Reach (southeast of Sand’s Reach). If you look at the southeast of Cobalt Coastlands map, the Sand’s Reach area looks like a hand (hence the reach in the name). Head to that area, and the player will see a man with a Chatot. Approach them, and a cutscene will play where the man, Yorrich, is freaking out because of the Chatot that sounds like it is talking. He will then ask for help, leading the player to battle against the Chatot.
Chatot is a Normal and Flying-type Pokemon which means it is weak against Rock-type, Electric-type, and Ice-type moves (super effective), resistant against Bug-type and Grass-type moves (not very effective), and immune against Ghost-type and Ground-type moves (no effect).
It is also worth noting that the player can also catch the Chatot instead of defeating it.
After defeating (or catching) the Chatot, Yorrich will thank the player as he thinks he would not have survived without the player. Then, the player and Yorrich will be back with Gully will tell that back when she was growing up. She was told that if you hear someone talk when nobody is around, it is not a ghost but a Chatot. After that, Gully will also thank the player for finding Yorrich, and they will now start to set up camp.
After that, the player can now use this Base Camp to talk to Professor Laventon, rest, craft items, and use the item storage!
Now that you have completed the ‘Setting up the Coastlands Camp’ Request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ‘em all!
