Pokemon Legends: Arceus occurred in the olden days of Pokemon when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You are tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the area’s first-ever Pokédex.
In the game, the Galaxy Team sends the player to do missions. Additionally, various people also ask for help from the player in requests. One of these is Request 11, titled ‘The Timbre of the Fields.’ This guide will teach you how to complete The Timbre of the Fields request.
The Timbre of the Fields
To unlock this request, the player must first complete the ‘A Request from Mai’ Mission (the fifth mission of the game), wherein the player visits the Training Grounds for the first time and battles Akari or Rei. Then, the player must go to Obsidian Fieldlands. Across the Fieldlands Camp, the player will find Yeo, a woman in a light green dress, standing by a tree.
Talk to Yeo, and she will tell you that she wants to know more about Kricketot as she is curious about how it makes its sound. And, just like that, you have just started The Timbre of the Fields request!
The player must complete Kricketot’s Pokedex entry by performing Research Tasks to complete this request. To do this, the player must first know where to find Kricketots.
You can find Kricketots on the center island of the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically in Deertrack Path, Windswept Run, and Nature’s Pantry. You can also find it in the western and northern part of the Crimson Mirelands, specifically Golden Lowlands and Cloudpool Ridge. However, the closest and easiest place to find Kricketots is along the Deertrack Path in Obsidian Fieldlands.
Now that you know where to find Kricketots, it is time to complete Kricketot’s Pokedex entry. You do not have to complete every research task, but you need to get the Research Level to 10. To easily do this, you can do the Research Tasks that have two arrows before it as these Research Tasks can raise your Research Level by two. The task-related to Kricketot involves catching them and giving them food.
After doing enough of these, you can check with Professor Laventon in any of the camps if you have reached Research Level 10 for Kricketot’s Pokedex entry or how near you are to achieving that Research Level.
Once you have completed Kricketot’s Pokedex entry, go back to Fieldlands Camp and talk to Yeo to show her the completed Pokedex entry. She will then realize that a Kricketot can produce its sound by hitting its antennae together and wonder if Anvin from the Craftworks in Jubilife Village can craft an instrument similar to it. She will then reward the player with three Vivichokes for completing the request.
Now that you have completed ‘The Timbre of the Fields’ Request, you can try to meet other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
