Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Pokemon Species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Complete the 'A Token of Gratitude' Request (Request 92) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Various people will also ask for help from the player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 92, titled ‘A Token of Gratitude.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ request.

A Token of Gratitude

To unlock this request, the player must first complete the main story of the game with the last mission called ‘The Counterpart,‘ which is the 18th mission in the game where the player must defeat and catch Dialga/Palkia and close the Space-Time Rift at the top of Mount Coronet. The player must also have a save file from Pokemon Sword or Shield on the same account as your save data for Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, head to the Galaxy Hall and proceed to Professor Laventon’s room on the left side of Captain Cyllene’s office. In Professor Laventon’s room, you will find a blackboard behind Professor Laventon himself. On this blackboard, there are a few requests that the player can take on. Read what’s on the blackboard, and select the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ request on the prompt. And, just like that, the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ request started!

According to the request description, a member of the Diamond Clan named Medi needs help finding the rare Pokemon she met a long time ago. To complete the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ Request, this is what the player must do:

  1. First, head out of Professor Laventon’s office and the Galaxy Hall, go to the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife Village and head to the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
  2. Upon arriving at the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands, head a little bit south, and you will find Medi of the Diamond Clan just beside the path. Talk to her, and she will say that she has heard about the player from Mai. She will then tell a story about a time when she was little when she got lost in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and while she was wandering around in tears, she found a field of beautiful flowers where she met a Pokemon she had never seen before.
  3. The Pokemon then gave her a flower and started walking like it was guiding her, so she decided to follow it, leading her back to a place she recognized. Because of that Pokemon, she got home safely, but she never got the chance to properly thank it, so she wants to find it again and tell it how grateful she is.
  4. However, she has not been able to find that field of flowers again, so she wants the player to help her. The only clue she has is a Gracidea flower which is the same flower as what the Pokemon gave her in her story. So, she will ask the player to find the field of Gracidea flowers in the Obsidian Fieldlands for her.
  5. After that, head to the Floaro Gardens which can be found just west of Medi’s location (the Floaro Gardens can be found in the northwesternmost part of the map of the Obsidian Fieldlands).
  6. Upon arriving in the area, head to the middle, where the player will find a circular patch of land filled with withered flowers. Approach the area, and the player will recognize the area as the flower field that Medi has been looking for. Medi will then appear and ask if this is indeed the flower field she is looking for.
  7. She will then approach the area and say that even though the flowers are withered, she still remembers the surroundings exactly, which means this has to be the place. Medi will then start shouting to call for the Pokemon she saw the last time she was here. She will continue calling it, saying that she does not know if she would have made it home without its help, so she just came to say thank you so much.
  8. Suddenly, the screen will turn to white, and once it fades back, to Medi and the player’s shock, the withered flower field will be full of beautiful flowers, and a Shaymin will appear, which is the Pokemon that helped Medi for a long time ago. Medi will then thank the player and say that she supposes that the player will be staying in the area to study the Shaymin, so she will wish the player good luck and leave.
  9. After that, the player must now catch the Shaymin in the field of Gracidea flowers. Suppose you decide to battle against it before catching it. In that case, it is important to note that this Shaymin is in its Land Forme, which means that it is a Grass-type Pokemon with a weakness to the Bug-type, Fire-type, Flying-type, Ice-type, and Poison-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric-type, Grass-type, Ground-type, and Water-type moves (not very effective).
  10. After successfully catching the Shaymin, the player will be rewarded with one Grit Rock for his efforts. The ‘A Token of Gratitude’ Request is now complete!

Now that you have completed the ‘A Token of Gratitude’ Request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ‘em all!
