Cyberpunk 2077 may have stumbled on launch, but fans were hopeful that the game would somehow find its audience after CDPR had fixed all the bugs. With the positive reception of Edgerunners, and a revived interest in the game, CDPR has announced a huge milestone for Cyberpunk 2077.
As per an official post, the game has now sold more than 20 million copies. Check this out:
This announcement comes shortly after the release of the hit anime a few weeks ago; which has renewed interest in the world of Night City, not just for players of the game, but for newcomers who’ve yet to try it out.
When Cyberpunk 2077 launched a few years ago, the game was plagued with so many bugs, and was deemed unfinished by several players; it even got so bad that PlayStation had to pull the game from its digital store. Despite all the flak though, there were some fans who still believed in CDPR, and they were adamant that there was a good game at the very core of the buggy mess.
Now with the latest patches, Cyberpunk runs smoother than ever; albeit it does come with the occasional bugs, and loading times are a tad long. When you fully immerse yourself though, you’ll love this shiny city of neon and colourful characters, each with their own unique struggles and stories.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 4|5.
