To say that the crafting system in Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit hard to grasp is an understatement. In light of this fact, we wanted to clarify a few things about legendary weapon crafting in Cyberpunk 2077!
You must meet certain requirements before you can start crafting powerful legendary items. So, it is fair to say that you can’t immediately jump into legendary crafting with a few hours of play.
We will show you some good crafting build trees if you feel overwhelmed, as well as the most important ones that you will need to get.
How to Craft Legendary Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077
To start crafting legendaries, one must have level 20 Technical ability. After that, get the Edgerunner Artisan perk on your build tree to get legendary crafting.
The next one is optional, but I recommend getting this perk because it is quite over-powered. It’s called Cutting Edge and will increase all damage-related stats of crafted weapons by 5%.
If you don’t know how to make a good crafting build, here is one of the best ones:
After crafting the build tree, it’s time to get crafting components. There are three types of crafting components:
- Rare Item Components
- Epic Item Components
- Legendary Item Components
The first way to get them is by buying them at the Junkshop. This can cost a lot, hence why so many players rule this out completely. Other ways include looting loot chests or crafting them if you have their crafting spec.
On top of that, if you break down legendary items, you will get some crafting components, but this method is for those with legendaries they don’t need.
However, rule out everything said before if you want to get components fast. Instead, focus on slaying mechs, drones, or robots. Once you take these down, they have a chance to drop quite a bit of crafting components.
Legendary-crafted items’ DPS and or armor will scale based on your level. On top of that, make sure you keep any rare or epic items that are iconic because you can craft them as legendary ones. You have the perk to craft legendaries.
Cyberpunk 2077’s crafting system might not be what we are used to, but it seems to be rewarding if utilized right!
