To say that the crafting system in Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit hard to grasp is an understatement. In light of this fact, we wanted to clear a few things up about legendary items crafting in Cyberpunk 2077!

There are certain requirements you must meet before you can start crafting powerful legendary items. So, it is fair to say that you can’t immediately jump into legendary crafting with a few hours of play.
We will show you some good crafting build trees if you feel overwhelmed, as well as the most important ones that you will need to get.
How to Craft Legendary Weapons and Armor – Cyberpunk 2077
To start crafting legendaries, one must be level 20 Technical ability in order to do so. After that, you will need to get the Edgerunner Artisan perk on your build tree in order get legendary crafting.
Next one is optional, but I recommend that you get this perk because it is quite over-powered. It’s called Cutting Edge, and it will increase all damage-related stats of crafted weapons by 5%.
If you don’t know how to make a good crafting build, here is one of the best ones:

After you finish with you crafting build tree, it’s time to get crafting components. There are three types of crafting components:
- Rare Item Components
- Epic Item Components
- Legendary Item Components
The first way to get them is by buying them of the Junkshop. This can cost a lot, hence why so many players rule this out completely. Other ways include looting loot chests, or by crafting them if you have their crafting spec.

On top of that, if you break down legendary items, you will get some crafting components, but this method is for those who have legendaries which they don’t need.
However, if you want to get components fast, rule out everything said before. Instead, focus on slaying mechs, drones, or robots. Once you take these down, they have a chance to drop quite a bit of crafting components.
Legendary crafted items’ DPS and or armor will scale based on your level. On top of that, make sure you keep any rare or epic items that are iconic, because you can craft it as a legendary one you have the perk to craft legendaries.
Cyberpunk 2077’s crafting system might not be like we are used to, but it does seem like it can be rewarding if utilized right!
