Black Adam has always been a more obscure DC character, but the Rock is making sure everyone knows all about him before his movie comes out. Just in, MultiVersus has announced that Adam will be joining the fray, as well as one familiar face from Gremlins.

DC's Black Adam Announced for MultiVersus

Check them out in the official announcement:

We don’t know how both characters will play yet, but I have a feeling Adam will have a kit closer to that of Superman. Seeing that Adam is a Shazam! baddie, you would think that they would introduce that character in the game first before Adam, but it does line up with the release of Black Adam in October. They can probably add in Shazam in the winter—it wouldn’t even be surprising if he had the same moves list as Adam.

With the character reveal now, I think we could be seeing a trailer focusing on their gameplay soon. I’m guessing we could get one around September, but it’s possible they could release around October to really come close to the Black Adam release.

Here’s the synopsis for Black Adam:

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world

No release date has been set for Adam and Stripe in MultiVersus, but the game is currently available to play for free on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC. Black Adam is set to come out in theaters Oct. 21.
