Where To Find Dark Wood Hidden Lairs in Diablo Immortal

The Dark Wood area is home to The Forgotten Tower – one of the more popular Dungeons in Diablo Immortal. Aside from The Forgotten Tower, many players visit Dark Wood to slay the Blood Rose world boss to complete the Purify the Corruption Zone Event.

Dark Wood is a smaller zone when compared to something like the Ashwold Cemetery. Nevertheless, Dark Wood has up to 10 Hidden Lairs in the area, second only to Ashwold Cemetery in number.

Here’s all you need to know about Hidden Lairs and where to find all 10 Hidden Lairs in Dark Wood.

Hidden Lair Dungeon Tips

How to Find Hidden Lairs

Start running through each Hidden Lair location within the zone as soon as the “A Hidden Lair has opened in this zone” flashes across your screen. You only have 10 minutes to find the Hidden Lair and enter it. Otherwise, the Hidden Lair will despawn and respawn in one of the other locations in the same zone.

Looking for the next Hidden Lair will also be challenging because Hidden Lairs open randomly. Hidden Lair spawns do not have a spawning pattern, so you must run around the entire zone to find the open Hidden Lair. You can make this process easier by partying with other players and splitting up across Dark Wood to find the open Hidden Lair faster.

Hidden Lair runs are very similar to Elder Rift runs – Hidden Lair dungeons will feature the main objective that requires players to slay the Lair Guardian along with other minor objectives, like killing groups of monsters in the dungeon.

Unlike Elder Rift dungeon runs, however, Hidden Lair runs do not have a time limit; all you need to do to progress is kill the Lair Guardian. You do not have to do anything specific to find the Lair Guardian, as this boss is already pre-spawned in the dungeon as soon as you enter the Hidden Lair.

Completing minor objectives will reward you with a large chest full of rewards like Gear or random quality, Normal Gems, and Gold. Defeating the Lair Guardian will give you the same rewards. There is a healthy amount of XP from clearing Hidden Lairs.

Lastly, some Hidden Lair dungeons will sometimes feature a second floor that you can access via a red portal after defeating the first Lair Guardian. The second floor works the same way as the first one; the Lair Guardian might be identical.

Where to find the Hidden Lairs in Dark Wood

Dark Wood is divided into seven smaller zones – Tree of Inifuss, Nesting Grounds, Cursed, Grove, Derelict Timberyard, Blackstone Village, Fetid Swamp, and Sanguine Ruins. The good news is that unlike Ashwood Cemetery, Dark Wood’s smaller land area makes it easy to move through each zone to find Hidden Lairs on foot.

There are Waypoints for every zone in Dark Wood, so you can easily teleport from one end of the zone to another when looking for the open Hidden Lair.

Tree of Inifus

If you are coming from Westmarch, then the Tree of Inifus area is where you will start your journey around Dark Wood. There are three Hidden Lairs in the Tree of Inifus area, plus two waypoints where you can teleport to the other places on the map.

Nesting Grounds

Just south of Tree of Inifus is the Nesting Grounds area. There is only one Hidden Lair here, but there is also a Waypoint you can use when looking for the open Hidden Lair.

Derelict Timberyard/Blackstone Village

Move south from Nesting Grounds, and you will find yourself in the Derelict Timberyard. This area has two Hidden Lairs, which you can easily access via the Blackstone Village Waypoint.

The southmost part of Darkwood is the Blackstone Village. Here, you will find just one Hidden Lair.

Fetid Swamp

Move north from Blackstone Village or southwest from the Tree of Inifus, and you will find the Fetid Swap area, where one Hidden Lair is located. You can use the Bloodrose Waypoint to access this area faster.

Sanguine Ruins

Last is the Sanguine Ruins, where two Hidden Lairs are located. Move west from the Tree of Inifus to find the Hidden Lairs in this area.

Hidden Within the Dark Woods

Hidden Lairs can be a reliable source of Normal Gems and other decent loot in Diablo Immortal. If you want to acquire some Normal Gems but do not want to spend money, you can just run through your favorite zone and look for open Hidden Lairs to get those Normal Gems.

If you are in Dark Wood, refer to the Hidden Lair locations above to get a good idea of where all 10 Hidden Lairs are.
