Diablo Immortal: Season 12 Content Update Patch Notes – Battle Pass Improvements, New Limited-time Events, and more

Diablo Immortal Season 12 has arrived, and with it come numerous improvements to in-game features and gameplay mechanics. There’s a ton of new stuff to go through, so we have taken only the most important bits to give you a more easily digestible look into the new content.

We have outlined everything you need to know about the Season 12 Content Update in this quick guide.

What’s New for Season 12?

Feature Updates dominate the Season 12 Update for Diablo Immortal. Here are some new features you can expect to find in the new update:

  • 5-minute Battleground Match Queue-cancel penalty.
  • Optimized Battleground Matchmaking
  • The 7-day cooldown for Paragon Points has been removed.
  • Paragon selections can now be saved in the Armory.
  • Accursed Tower adjustments:
    • Clans already owning two towers will have to relinquish control of either two when attempting to control a third tower.
  • Clan Leave Cooldown changes. Players that leave a Clan will:
    • Be unable to participate in Clan-related activities for the remainder of the activity’s weekly cycle.
    • Continue to receive rewards from Clan-related events such as Accursed Towers in their new clan. However, they cannot contribute to the new Clan’s Cursed Shard totals.
    • Be unable to become Clan Leader for the current week cycle.
  • Purification Shard Updates:
    • The daily amount from the Rewards Chest has been increased.
    • Added to Hilts Vendor Inventory.
  • Empowered and Collector’s Battle Pass Rewards Increase:
    • Rank 5 and 35 of the Battle Pass will now give out 3 Normal Gems.
    • Seled’s Awakening One-Star Legendary Gem has been removed from Rank 5, 20, and 35, favoring a Fervent Fang Two-Star Legendary Gem at Rank 20.
  • Collector’s Battle Pass owners can now earn Battle Archive Coins, which they can use to purchase the following:
    • Legendary Gems
    • Portal Cosmetics
    • Other Battle Pass-related rewards from previous seasons
  • Collector’s Battle Pass owners can now purchase the featured Season Cosmetic for other classes after collecting the Rank 40 Cosmetic reward.
  • Activity Calendar and Scheduler Quality-of-Life improvements:
    • Player-made activities will be removed 2 hours after the scheduled activity has started.
    • Custom Player Activity organizers will now be displayed in the Activity Details menu.
    • Reward previews added to the Today section of the Activity Calendar.
  • The Barbarian Dauntless Temper Pants screen shake effect has been reduced to alleviate motion sickness and nausea.

Limited-Time Events and Season 12 Battle Pass

Two new Limited-Time Events have arrived for Season 12 alongside a new Season 12 Battle Pass.

Shady Stock Limited-Time Event

A new Limited-Time Event called Shady Stock has been added to Diablo Immortal. The limited-time event involves running Daily Tasks for Yakin to earn Shady Tokens. Shady Tokens can then be exchanged for Yakin’s Shady Stock consisting of Legendary Items. Exchange Shady Tokens for three Legendary Items, and Yakin will reward you with a random Set Item.

The Shady Stock Limited-Time Event runs from April 12, 3 a.m. to April 19, 3 a.m. server time.

Into the Wood Limited-time Event

The Into the Wood Limited-Time event is a simpler limited-time event where players can complete daily tasks and get rewards upon completing a specific number of tasks in the event.

Players can get the following rewards:

  • 1 random Legendary Item (3 Tasks Completed)
  • 3 Rare Crests (5 Tasks Completed)
  • 1 Telluric Pearl (8 Tasks Completed)
  • 1 Legendary Crest (Complete 10 Tasks)

The Into the Wood Limited-Time Event runs from April 19, 3 a.m. to April 27, 3 a.m. server time.

Season 12 Battle Pass: Heroes of Unification

For Season 12, Blizzard has added a sharp-looking new Cosmetic pack called the Heroes of Unification to celebrate the Great Families of Xiansai. The new Battle Pass comes with revamped Collector’s Battle Pass rewards alongside the typical Upgrade Materials and Crests you’ve come to expect from the Battle Pass.
