Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force is promising fans a new kind of game with Wild Hearts next year which looks to be a crossover between Ghost of Tsushima and Monster Hunter. One unique mechanic of the game is machinery called Karakuri, and we have a new gameplay showcase giving us a closer look.
Watch this:
Here’s the description:
Harness nature’s energy to power the ancient Karakuri technology in WILD HEARTS™. Both weapons and tools, the Karakuri can be shaped into many forms. With them, you can set traps, react to attackers, and deliver devastating damage to the mighty Kemono. But you can build as well as destroy. Gathering resources, training, and swift travel are just a few of the Karakuri’s many constructive uses.
Though fans could pretty much chalk it up to the fantasy genre as to why there are some huge, fantastical beasts in this game, the technology was still kind of a mystery. As it turns out, there were some ancient machines in this world, but that does beg the question—Is this game actually set in the future?
You think a lot of people will think they ripped off Horizon Zero Dawn?
Here’s the overall description for the game:
Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. WILD HEARTS is a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op.
Wild Hearts launches for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on Feb. 17, 2023.
