When Steve Haines asks Michael to requisition some funds from the IAA, Michael opts for a classic blitz play that involves intercepting the delivery van, taking the bonds, and moving the package away from the area in a getaway car.
The Trash Truck mission involves taking a Trash Truck that the team will use to take down the delivery van in the mission Blitz Play. You can use Michael, Trevor, or Franklin to complete this mission in-game.
In this guide, we have outlined everything you need to know about the Trash Truck mission in GTA 5 and how you can complete the mission with a Gold Medal.
Trash Truck Synopsis
Franklin/Michael/Trevor heads to Mirror Park/La Mesa East/Vinewood in Los Santos to intercept a Trashmaster making its rounds in the area. Franklin/Michael/Trevor waits for the binman to hop out of the Trashmaster to collect the trash before he steals the truck and delivers it to the FIB warehouse.
However, things don’t always go as planned, and just a few moments after either one of the protagonists takes the Trashmaster, he will incur a two-star wanted level. Franklin/Michael/Trevor is forced to outrun the cops before delivering the truck to the warehouse.
After Franklin/Michael/Trevor successfully run away from the cops, he drives the Trashmaster to El Burro Heights, where the FIB warehouse is located.
Trash Truck Gold Medal Objectives
- Time: Complete within 05:00.
- Undented: Deliver the Trashmaster with no damage.
- In the Dust: Reach top speed in the Trashmaster.
All Gold Medal objectives for this mission can be completed through multiple replays. You can come back another time and replay the mission to get the rest of the Gold Medal objectives.
Trash Truck Mission Guide
Follow the Trashmaster marked blue on the map.
Steal the Trashmaster while the binman is out collecting trash.
The police will be alerted as soon as you take control of the Trashmaster. Do your best to outrun the cops while keeping the Trashmaster in pristine condition.
Use Franklin’s special ability (if you opt to start the mission with him) wherever applicable.
Get off the road and into the hills as soon as possible so you do not get caught on the cops’ radar.
Get out of the Trashmaster to complete the mission.
Taking Out The Trash
You can get to the Trashmaster’s top speed faster by using Franklin’s special ability whenever your can. The stretch of road from Elgin Avenue to El Burro Heights is your best chance to achieve a top speed in the Trashmaster. Remember to skip the cutscenes and use Franklin’s ability to avoid damaging the Trashmaster on your way back to the FIB warehouse.
