How to Get the Leave Ending
Most players consider the ‘Leave‘ ending in Silent Hill 2 Remake to be the true ending. Fortunately, this ending can be achieved without the NG+. Do the following conditions to get Leave ending:
- Show no interest in Maria. Don’t check on her, and avoid listening to her dialogue.
- Don’t protect Maria. Keep your distance from her.
- Don’t visit Maria at the hospital while resting or at the Labyrinth prison cell.
- Keep your health up. Don’t leave it on the red. Always use healing items once injured.
- Don’t inspect Angela’s Knife. Once you receive it, quickly close the menu.
- In the corridor where you can hear Mary speaking, listen to the whole dialogue before moving to the next area.
The goal is to keep your health up at all times, not show any interest in Maria, and focus only on your wife, Mary.
How to Get In Water Ending
The ‘In Water’ ending is included in the original Silent Hill 2 and does not require NG+. Do the following conditions to get the In Water ending:
- Keep your health in red – As much as possible, keep James in low health or don’t fully heal.
- Don’t use Syringes – Syringes give a lot of health, so avoid using them.
- Examine Angela’s Knife – Examine the knife in your inventory multiple times.
- Don’t visit Maria at the hospital or in the labyrinth prison cell.
- Choose the Man Coin at the Coin Puzzle during the fourth poem.
- In the corridor where you can hear Mary speaking, listen to the whole dialogue before moving to the next area.
The goal for the In Water ending is to keep your health low at all times while not showing interest in Maria. Focus on Mary and inspect Angela’s Knife frequently.
How to Get Maria Ending
The ‘Maria’ ending in Silent Hill 2 Remake does not require NG+ to achieve. Do the following conditions to get the Maria ending:
- Keep your health up. Don’t leave it on the red. Heal whenever you get the chance.
- Don’t Examine Mary and Angela’s Items in your inventory.
- Show Interest in Maria. Stay close to her at all times and listen to her dialogues.
- Protect Maria. Don’t let her take as much damage as possible.
- Avoid scaring or making her uncomfortable. Refrain from shooting or breaking any glass near her, don’t bump into her, and try not to stay separated for extended periods. Always open doors for her as quickly as possible.
- Check on Maria in the hospital and labyrinth prison cell.
- Don’t listen to Mary’s dialogue in the corridor. Head straight to the door and move to the next area before she finishes.
The goal is to make Maria your priority while keeping your health up at all times. Avoid showing any interest in Mary and Angela. Keep Maria safe, stay close, and listen to what she wants.
How to Get Rebirth Ending
The ‘Rebirth’ ending is only available in the New Game Plus. You’ll need four items to be kept in your inventory throughout the game.
- Crimson Ceremony (Red Book) – It’s found in the cemetery where you first meet Angela. It’s on a grave by the lakeside.
- White Chrism – You’ll find it on a table outside the Baldwin Mansion after first meeting Maria.
- Obsidian Goblet – You’ll find it inside the Silent Hill Historical Society, in a nook on the wall.
- Lost Memories Book (Green Book) – You’ll find it in the Lost and Found room on the first floor of Lakeview Hotel.
As long as the four items are in your inventory, the Rebirth ending will trigger after you’ve defeated the final boss.
How to Get Dog Ending
The Dog is one of the strangest endings in Silent Hill 2. It can only be achieved with New Game Plus. Follow the conditions below to unlock it:
- Get the Broken Key Part (Paw) at the Pet Center on the east side of South Vale, next to Big Jay’s. It’s on top of a desk in the backroom.
- Get the Broken Key Part (Bone) south of the motel after going through the locked gate with Maria. You will find a doghouse in a dead end.
- Combine the key parts to make a Dog Key.
- Use the Dog Key to open the Observation Room on the 3F of the Lakeview Hotel.
- Note that triggering the Dog Ending in Silent Hill 2 Remake will skip the final boss battle.
How to Get UFO Ending
Another strange ending in Silent Hill 2 Remake is the UFO ending, which can only be unlocked in NG+. Follow the conditions below to achieve the UFO ending:
- Get the Blue Gem from the jewelry store on the east side of South Vale, north of Big Jay’s, next to the pet store. Smash the display window to collect the blue gem.
- You must Investigate the Blue Gem in your inventory at the following locations.
- At Saul Street Apartments Rooftop.
- Before meeting Maria for the first time, investigate the Blue Gem at the Pier, northeast of Rosewood Park, near the coin-operated binoculars.
- In Room 312, before watching Mary’s videotape.
- After investigating the Blue Gem for the last time in Room 312, the UFO ending will trigger.
How to Get Bliss Ending
The Bliss is one of the new endings added in Silent Hill 2 Remake. It can only be unlocked in NG+. Follow the conditions below to achieve the Bliss ending:
- Get the Rusted Key at Pete’s Bowl-o-Rama on the west side of South Vale. The code is 1887.
- Get the Small Chest at the northwest corner of the Brookhaven Hospital Garden, in the gazebo.
- Combine the Small Chest and Rusted Key to unlock and obtain White Claudia.
- Go to Room 312 and drink the White Claudia before watching the videotape.
- Due to White Claudia’s effect, you will get a different cutscene of the videotape.
How to Get Stillness Ending
The Stillness is one of the new endings specifically made for the Remake. It requires an NG+ and can only be unlocked by doing the following conditions:
- Need to get the In Water ending at least once.
- Get the Chainsaw at the start of your NG+, past the sign of Silent Hill Ranch, after meeting Angela for the first time in the Graveyard. It’s on a pile of logs.
- Get the Key of Sorrow by breaking the Green Car‘s window on Wiltse Road using the Chainsaw.
- In the Otherworld Lakeview Hotel, go to the Manager’s Office and unlock the safe with the Key. The code is 314.
- Get the Postcard and inspect it in your inventory.
- Finish the game normally.
