Gotham Knights may not be getting the rave reviews it hoped for, but there’s another Batman game in town if you want to fly around as the Caped Crusader.
Here’s the launch trailer for Minecraft x Batman:
Here’s the official description:
Gotham City is in trouble but have no fear – Batman is here! Fly through the night as the Caped Crusader and save the city from Harley Quinn, The Joker, The Penguin, and more dastardly Super-Villains from the DC universe. Explore the legendary Batcave, utilize the Bat-Gadgets in your Utility Belt, and complete perplexing puzzles to repair the sabotaged Nether Portal and save Alfred!
Besides the villains that are mentioned in the description, we also get a look at Poison Ivy, Clayface, and Firefly. Just like the Arkham games, it also looks like the Riddler has left a bunch of puzzles for the Batman to solve with the goal of collecting some trophies as well.
With the world of Gotham being as expansive as it is—and Minecraft limited by anyone’s imagination—we could be looking at a whole new kind of Batman adventure. I mean, it’s not an Arkham-level game, but it should be good fun for anyone who likes the Dark Knight. Besides the promise of variety with boss battles and missions, we’re also given several Batman outfits, all harkening back to appearances from the comics.
The Batman DLC for Minecraft is available now. Minecraft is now playable for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
