We’ve had games about the Wild West before, but Focus Entertainment and Flying Wild Hog have teamed up to give the new frontier a dark fantasy twist. Evil West is set to come out later this year, and we now have a release date.
As per the new trailer, Evil West is set to release for major consoles on September 20. Watch this:
Get fired up by the explosive third-person action gameplay featuring an overpowering arsenal of weapons and guns. Take part in stylish, visceral combat as you unleash hell with your firearms, lightning-fueled gauntlet and gadgets.
The game pretty much looks like if you take Red Dead Redemption and infused it with the monsters of Dark Souls (or probably something more colourful). Whereas RDR limits your character to use weapons that are exclusive to the times, you actually get to craft and make some sci-fi weapons, all in the name of kicking demon ass.
With a release set for September, we should expect a closer look at this game over the following months. I’m sure this trailer alone is enough to get people interested, but I think there are some fans who need a closer look into the gameplay and crafting options. I’m guessing we’ll get our next preview sometime around August or July.

Evil West will be available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4|5, and PC on Sept. 20.
