Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the Hisui region, modern-day Sinnoh, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every Hisui Region Pokemon Species to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.

How to Evolve Clefairy to Clefable in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

In the game, there are certain Pokemon that the player cannot catch or are hard to catch in the wild. One of the methods to catch these Pokemon is through evolution. One of these Pokemon is Clefable, and in this guide, you will learn how to evolve Clefairy into a Clefable!

Clefairy to Clefable

Clefable is a Fairy Type Fairy Pokemon with a body that looks like a star, long pointed ears with brown tips, black eyes with wrinkles on both sides, a pair of dark pink wings, curled fur over its forehead, and a long and tightly curled tail. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, there is a legend that says that Clefable listens to the voices of its kin living on the moon during clear and quiet nights.

Clefable can be found in the Fabled Spring in the southwesternmost part of the Coronet Highlands, and the Clefable can only be found here at night. However, it can be found in every weather condition. It is also worth noting that the Clefable that can be found in this area is an Alpha Pokemon.

However, if you would rather obtain a Clefable through evolution, the player can catch one by evolving Clefairy using a Moon Stone. To do that, the player must first know where to find a Clefairy.

Clefairy can also be found in the Fabled Spring in the southwesternmost of the Coronet Highlands, and the Clefairy can only be found here at night. However, it can be found in every weather condition.

If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Clefairy’s preferred food is Dazzling Honey.

Suppose you plan on battling a Clefairy first before catching it. In that case, it is worth noting that, as mentioned, Clefairy is a Fairy-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Poison-type and Steel-type moves (super effective), a resistance to the Bug-type, Dark-type, and Fighting-type moves (not very effective), and immunity to Dragon-type moves (no effect).

Moon Stone

Now that the player has caught a Clefairy, all that is needed to evolve a Clefairy to a Clefable is a Moon Stone. There are several ways that the player can obtain a Moon Stone:

Moon Stone can be dug up from treasure buried on the ground by riding the rideable Ursaluna. However, the locations where Ursaluna can dig up Moon Stone are random.

Additionally, the player may obtain a Moon Stone by breaking Tumblestone Ores that are shaking. Breaking these shaking ores, however, will result in a Pokemon like Geodude or Graveler popping out and battling the player.

Alternatively, the player can purchase a Moon Stone for 5,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Moonlike Rock. Unfortunately, the items the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same, so purchasable items may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon.

The player can purchase a Moon Stone from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points. The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region.

Other than that, the player may find some Moon Stones on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so check out the items inside them.

Finally, Clefable!

After catching a Clefairy and obtaining a Moon Stone, the player can now evolve Clefairy into a Clefable!

To do that, this is what the player must do:

  1. Put the player’s Clefairy in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps, selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt, or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village.
  2. Then, ensure that the Moon Stone is in the player’s Satchel. If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Moon Stone to the player’s Satchel.
  3. Next, return to the game and press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
  4. Select the Moon Stone, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Clefairy from the player’s party to use the Moon Stone on Clefairy.
  5. Confirm on the prompt to evolve Clefairy. Then, just like that, Clefairy will evolve into a Clefable!

Now that the player has a Clefable, the player can try to use the Clefable to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player to catch ‘em all!
