Whether it be Farm Manager 21 or any other game for PC, they’re all prone to a huge assortment of errors. Quickly after launch, Farm Manager 21 also received numerous reports about fatal errors, crashes, infinite loading screens, and black screen. How do you tackle these errors? Is there a quick and easy fix? Well, sort of. Today, we will show you how to fix fatal errors, crashes, loading loops and more in Farm Manager 21!
Fix Fatal Error, Crashes, Black Screen & Loading Loop – Farm Manager 21
Like any other game, the fixes are more or less the same, since these are not underlying issues with the game itself. Start off by checking whether you’re running the latest version of Windows and update GPU drivers.
Windows Update & Graphics Card Drivers
To check for Windows Update, simply type in ‘Windows Update’ in the Start menu search bar, and then press Enter. Click ‘Check for Updates’ and let your system update if necessary.
As for updating GPU drivers, right-click the Start menu and go to Device Manager. Open the Display Adapters dropdown and right-click your GPU, only to press ‘Update Driver’. After that, make sure to select for the system to search for drivers automatically.
NOTE: Try to launch the game in-between tries, as all these fixes serve as a troubleshooting process as well.
Run as Administrator & Disable Fullscreen Optimizations – Farm Manager 21
- Find a Farm Manager 21 shortcut.
- Right-click the icon, and go to Properties.
- Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
- Select ‘Run this program as an administrator’ and ‘Disable Fullscreen Optimizations’.
- Hit Apply and OK.
Again, make sure to try the game before trying out the next method.
ALT + Enter
This shortcut will help you minimize or maximize Farm Manager 21, which means that it will allow you to change the window mode without accessing the settings. This mostly fixes black screens or infinite loading screens, but it can fix other errors as well.
Simply launch Farm Manager 21, and then hit ALT + Enter. Try a few times if nothing happens, or if needed.
Controlled Folder Access Exclusion – Farm Manager 21
In some cases, the protective feature from Windows, called controlled folder access, might cause your game not to launch. This can happen due to a few reasons:
- Some corrupted install files
- The software thinks the game is a threat
- Or it is blocking a certain process, and with it the whole game.
Just open the Start menu and type in: ‘Controlled folder access’ and hit Enter. From there, click ‘Allow an app through controlled folder access’, then ‘Yes’. Press ‘Add an allowed app’ > ‘Browse All Apps’. Find Farm Manager 21, and add it.
Then, try to launch Farm Manager.
Verify Integrity of Game Files
Since Farm Manager 21 is available for Steam on PC, you can easily check whether your installation is in a state. To do this, go to your Library, and then the Properties of Farm Manager 21.
Navigate to Local Files, from where you can verify the integrity of files. If there is a corruption issue, depending on the severity, the process might take a while.
Now, do this on your own accord, but as an experiment, you can try to disable your Antivirus, to see whether the issue stems from that. If so, you can add an antivirus exception later.
This concludes most of the fixes for errors from this nature. If your issue is still present, you can also try a full reinstall, or you can contact the respective support team.
Be sure to let us know of any fixes we have missed out on.
