Where to Find an Alpha Gallade in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus took place in the early days of the Pokemon universe when humans and Pokemon did not get along. This game is set in the Hisui area, which was eventually renamed Sinnoh in the current Pokemon universe.

The player must catch every kind of Pokémon present in this area to complete Hisui’s first Pokédex. At Jubilife Village, the player will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (the Galaxy Team) and be part of the Survey Corps.

In the game, there are Pokemon called Alpha Pokemon who are more significant than their normal counterparts, have flaming red eyes, and are filled with Wild Might, increasing their stats and combat abilities.

In this guide, we will learn where to find an Alpha Gallade in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Alpha Pokemon

Alpha Pokemon are always stronger than their regular counterparts. They are all hostile (except for Mantyke and Mantine), and they never leave when the player challenges them (except for when the type of Alpha Pokemon appears during a certain time of day or if a Space-Time Distortion appears around them). When the player gets too close to an Alpha Pokemon, it roars and sends a shockwave. If the player gets too close, the shockwave will cause the player to stumble and fall to the ground.

Alpha Pokemon of any level can be caught by battling them before tossing a Poke Ball. If their current obedience level is much lower than that of the Alpha Pokemon, the player will be unable to catch them without engaging in battle.

Alternatively, the player can avoid battle by sneaking up on Alpha Pokemon in tall grass or using stealth items before tossing a Poke Ball their way.

If a player is having trouble catching an Alpha Pokemon, they can improve their Survey Corps rank by completing Research Tasks and speaking with Professor Laventon in any of the Base Camps.

The player can encounter three types of Alpha Pokemon in the game: fixed Alpha Pokemon, which always spawn in the same areas and have the same level; random Alpha Pokemon, which may appear only after the player calms the area’s agitated Noble Pokemon; and Alpha Pokemon in Massive Mass Outbreaks, which may appear as a second wave in the same location as the first wave of a Mass Outbreak.

Because the other two types are completely randomized, we will only look at fixed Alpha Pokemon, particularly an Alpha Gallade.

Alpha Gallade

Gallade is a Psychic and Fighting-type Blade Pokemon with a slim green torso, red horns from its chest and back, round hips, muscular legs, a head resembling a gladiator helmet, and a teal head crest. Gallade’s blades that extend from its elbows are sharper than the best swords, according to its Pokedex entry in the game.

An Alpha Gallade can be found on the second floor of the Snowpoint Temple (north of the Pearl Settlement or northeast of Lake Acuity) in the northernmost part of the Alabaster Icelands.

Gallade can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Gallade found in this location is a Level 70 Pokemon.

To catch the Alpha Pokemon off guard, creep up behind it with tall grass and/or other stealth items such as Smoke Bombs, then throw the player’s Pokemon or Poke Ball onto its back.

Gallade prefers Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans, which make them good foods to distract Gallade before you catch or battle it.

Also, it is important to mention, if you plan on battling it first before catching it, that Gallade, again, is a Fighting and Psychic-type Pokemon, which means it has a weakness to Fairy-type, Flying-type, and Ghost-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fighting-type and Rock-type moves (not very effective).

Aside from the Alpha Gallade in the location mentioned above, the regular, non-alpha Gallade can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Alabaster Icelands.

Now that the player has caught an Alpha Gallade, the player can try to use the Alpha Gallade to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
